All means all! – OpenTextbook for diversity in education
“All Means All!” is a groundbreaking OpenTextbook that reimagines teacher education through an intersectional, inclusive, and forward-thinking lens. Developed between 2020 and 2024 and funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, this collaborative project unites over 151 contributors—educators, researchers, self-advocates, and change-makers from diverse cultural and disciplinary backgrounds—who share a common goal: to transform learning spaces so that everyone is truly welcomed and empowered.
Building on real-world experiences, academic research, and practical know-how, “All Means All!” goes beyond theory by offering hands-on strategies and accessible resources for everyday classroom challenges. Topics range from working with multilingual students and leveraging digital technology, to tackling implicit biases and fostering a sense of belonging among learners with diverse abilities and needs. Each chapter weaves together personal narratives, reflective questions, and actionable techniques that encourage educators to re-examine existing practices and embrace new approaches to teaching.
This OpenTextbook invites readers to take an active role in promoting equity and social justice. It equips future and current teachers, school leaders, policymakers, and community advocates with the perspectives and tools needed to create transformative educational environments. By emphasizing collaboration and continuous improvement, “All Means All!” highlights the powerful impact of collective action in shaping schools and universities where every individual counts—and every voice is heard.
